This hot cocoa is crafted using organic cacao from the Dominican Republic and Peru, and organic cane sugar from Paraguay, all grown by small farmer co-ops. When farmers organize into co-ops they gain crucial market access, run their business democratically, and decide together how to invest in their communities. By enjoying this cocoa, you’re supporting these small farmers and their communities. In recent years the co-op has experienced lower yields due to climate change and aging cacao farms. The co-op is focusing on increasing productivity for members.
